E-Quotes

"Mommy help me. My hair is stuck!"
Mommy panics. "Stuck where?"
"Stuck to my head."

Well I'll be more than glad to have that happen to me!

I had some time to experiment with more flower-making. Would you believe the three flowers use the same sized circle punch.  The bottom has a second circle stacked on top.  Let me show you how to make the other two.

I glimmer-misted pink paper and, when dry, punched out 2.5" circles. I then cut a spiral into the circle and snipped into the edges at regular intervals.

Then I applied glue to the opposite edge (from the snips) and rolled from the outside towards to the centre of the circle.

Add a button for the flower centre.

If you begin with a tight spiral and smaller intervals between snips, you get a smaller flower.  It's great to be able to make different sizes of flowers from just a single circle punch size.

Letter Surgery

I'm back! I have neglected this blog for a while, though I have been keeping up with my photo a day here.
Today, I did some surgery on my thicker letters. It's frustrating when I run short of some letters.  I know you can substitute 'z' for 's' and '3' for 'e', but I'm such a stickler for exactness.

Here's what I did to change '8' to 's' :

To make 'f' to 't' :

To make 'j' to 'r' and '5' to 's' :

To make 'd' to 'a' :

For 'e', turn a 'w' sideways and for 'y', turn an 'h' upside down.
