I have resurfaced from the 8-week Pro Scrapbookers League challenge at Club Scrap. It was an amazing ride because our team, The Embellishers, won every single challenge. No mean feat because we made a total of 4697 pages and scored 9154 points. There was only one week when our score was under 1000!

Competition aside, I also made new online friends. I can’t wait to receive our swap pages and compile them into an album to commemorate PSL 2010.

It will take me a few days to share what I made during those eight weeks. Here’s the first installment.

I had some time to experiment with more flower-making. Would you believe the three flowers use the same sized circle punch.  The bottom has a second circle stacked on top.  Let me show you how to make the other two.

I glimmer-misted pink paper and, when dry, punched out 2.5" circles. I then cut a spiral into the circle and snipped into the edges at regular intervals.

Then I applied glue to the opposite edge (from the snips) and rolled from the outside towards to the centre of the circle.

Add a button for the flower centre.

If you begin with a tight spiral and smaller intervals between snips, you get a smaller flower.  It's great to be able to make different sizes of flowers from just a single circle punch size.
