I've been busy tidying my scrap area. It looks like a tornado hit it, I barely have space for my keyboard and mouse.  I am only halfway through showing PSL layouts. The fourth installment:

The main reason I subscribed to Club Scrap all these years is the high-quality cardstock in the kits.  I have found out, maybe through the hard way, that I scrap best with cardstock. I am confounded with patterns, well take a look at my dressing style and you'll see that I prefer solid colours to prints and hardly accessorise. That translates into my scrapping style too. Don't get me wrong, I love layouts with layers and blings and flowers and pretty things.  I admire scrappers who effortless pull a page together combining patterns I would never have thought of. To each her own, right?

So here are the next batch of pages.

Club Scrap is a monthly kit club that offers cardstock, rubberstamps and embellishments three times a month.  The designs are created in-house and everything in a kit coordinates, right down to the brads and ribbons. The three releases in each month cater to different taste (appetite may be a better word). I have been an ardent subscriber since 2002.

PSL is a twice yearly event that CS hosts and this is the first time I participated in a competitive team. There were different challenges issued each week, such as using stencils, stamps, fibre and art mediums (my favourite because I got to mist mist mist). Other challenges required specific monthly kits to be used, such as February only, May or December only.  For another challenge, we had to use at least 3 different kits on each layout. The final challenge was to scrap using page designs known as recipes and Assembly Line Scrapbooking instructions.

I have resurfaced from the 8-week Pro Scrapbookers League challenge at Club Scrap. It was an amazing ride because our team, The Embellishers, won every single challenge. No mean feat because we made a total of 4697 pages and scored 9154 points. There was only one week when our score was under 1000!

Competition aside, I also made new online friends. I can’t wait to receive our swap pages and compile them into an album to commemorate PSL 2010.

It will take me a few days to share what I made during those eight weeks. Here’s the first installment.
