Venice - the food edition

Warm comfort food which hits the right spot after a cold day out:

Fresh seafood:

It was difficult to stop eating these so that I can take a shot:

And despite the cold, our daily (yes, daily!) dose of gelato:

Love the colours and textures in this city.  Every scene is postcard perfect!

A parking ticket on the gondola?
Venice food deserves its own post, but couldn't resist this shot:
How funny is this, in Italian!

Waiting to go home:

Our very mod hotel:

Clean, comfortable, convenient.  Very friendly staff.

The city sights:

And the country:

Dutch food isn't much to rave about.  Hotch-potch:
And pancakes:

Now this is what I call a pancake:

I'm Baaaack!

A working trip followed by vacation time.  24/7 with the family.
Here are the 2 places we went.

Lots more photos to come!  Just need a lot more time to sort them out.  My camera acted up during the trip so half the shots turned out horrid.  That means ...
I'm on the lookout for a new camera!

Calendar Project

I made myself a new calendar for the coming year.  The Zutter made quick work of putting it together.  Gotta love the machine.

Shaped covers (Teresa Collins) in black, embellished with rubons (Hambly) and flowers (Prima) held together with a nailhead (forgotten the source).  Collage Press notecard and MM letter stickers for my nametag.
Inside pages printed on cream textweight paper and embellished sparingly with epoxy stickers (Prima) and rubons (CI).  Between the calendar pages, I added journalling paper (Prima) and a variety of tags and cards (Maya Road, MME) and transparencies cut up into different sizes

I also altered the humble exercise book to match the calendar.  I haven't decided if I will make a pocket for it, or somehow attach it to the calendar.
These were so easy to make, I did a bunch of them.  I might post a simple tutorial for these.
The inside covers, jazzed up with clear tape.  Just can't get enough of that polka dot!

They're seventeen months apart.  But similar in many ways: second child, super active, love to eat.
