Scrap Space Ideas

So this is how I'e been spending my 2 days' leave.  Yesterday was a daze. I visited the doctor and was utterly groggy from the medication.  I was told I have an ulcer in the throat - yucks!  And couldn't be prescribed strong medication.
Today, I'm slightly better, though the cough is irritating.
Now that Little One is sleeping, I'm online drooling over scrapbookers' workspace.  And found these gems!  But in my woozy state, I've lost the source to credit the second.

Dream Space

We've got one foot in the waters for a new home.

Talk about moving started several years ago, but we seriously started looking when I was expecting Little One, as we wanted to be nearer (1) work (2) his parents or (3) my parents.  Things halted after the 2nd trimester partly because we wouldn't be moving anywhere in the next six months, and partly because I cried buckets thinking of moving out of our current place.  Yeah, I was a sentimental sob then.

We reactivated the search recently.  When it became obvious who would be Little One's caregiver, we further narrowed the search area.  In fact, I only want one particular block of flats.

So one Saturday I was flipping through the ads and spotted two units advertised.  I made the calls to view them without Hubby.  The two units had their pluses and minuses.  Hubby wanted to see them for himself and we went down again the next day.  Everyone liked the particular unit.

We decided that there wouldn't be a better unit than the one we're eyeing, and bit the bullet by making an offer.  Things started rolling from there.

So here I am, thinking about how to allocate the rooms in the house, and whether I can actually have a mini studio after all.  Well, it will be a shared room, but I can design it the way I like it, without worrying about hand-me-down cabinets and makeshift shelves.

I have been blog-surfing for ideas and found some great places which inspire.  I do not want to look at catalogues, I want to see someone actually muddling through their space and making decisions about what works for them.

Pushing the Boundaries

I love it that a challenge pushes me to experiment and explore.  These are for Lia's Love Your Shape Challenge at MWL.

Six months ago, I didn't know what to do with patterned paper. Well, more accurately, I last bought patterned papers more than eight years ago.  You know those gingham prints and sunflowers or milk bottles all over.  I have been scrapping in the graphic or minimalist style.
So to use no less than 3 patterned paper is a tall order indeed.

Big One's guitar.  Cool huh?  Well she's one cool girl anyway.  I don't know anyone else who learned to play the acoustic guitar in a month and then moved on to play the electric for worship band.  Can't wait to scrap these.

Finding Mama

So I was zoning out on my easy chair after coming home from an exhausting day, and in the background I heard my mom telling Little One "Go".  Where to?

Well, she put her into her walker and - would you believe it - in less than three minutes, Little One zipped into the bedroom and grinned at me.She was able to navigate the living room, past the sofa and piano, past two other bedrooms and turned the corner into the room to find me.

Last week, I was told Little One was cranky and refused to go into the walker, refused to be amused by anything.  She wanted to go towards the main door, and appeared to be waiting for me to come home.  When I walked in, she let out a shriek of delight.

The burdens of the day get shed away ...

Scrapped Some Lately

Trying to break out of my rut and routine - experimenting with patterned paper and fussy cutting. Rather therapeutic to cut and layer. My problem is laying out all the papers to select which go together. My bigger problem is storage space and scrapping space. My biggest problem is the amount of stash I own.
I'm rather hesitant to purchase organizing supplies. At the back of my mind is tidying the rooms and in the near future moving out.
Anyway, here are the pages. I'm rather pleased with them.

Two pages of Little One.

Close-ups:

Partially completed pages from the mwl crop in March - needs some embellishing and journalling.

Big One sent me some photos of her git she took on her cam phone.  These rare gems will be scrapped next.

I'm so Erratic

I've not been able to post regularly. But I did have time to blog-surf and scrap. Will update links and post pics soon.
