Distress inks don't have to be grungy. Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Broken China and Barn Door are some cheerful colours that can add a pop to Basic Grey's basics b/w patterned paper.

Selectively cut the border strip from a piece of cardstock so that only the scallop edge is cut, leaving a wider space to partially mat the photo.

Flat Adventure

Last October, DianeLynn hosted Flat Esther at Club Scrap's annual retreat. I packed a flat suitcase and sent Flat Me off, passport and all, along with only a single change of clothes.


Here is Flat E getting ready to board.

Flat Me may be small enough to fit in a teacup but that's no reason not to have fun!

Me: What have you got in your bag?
E: A magnet.
Me: What do you need a magnet for?
E: To read.
Me: (Peeps into bag) Oh it's a mag-azine!

E: Daddy's hair is short.
Me: Yes, he cut his hair.
E: No! Someone cut his hair!

E is telling an impromptu story involving a bear, a black lamb and Tigger tiger eating a yellow ball.
