Stash Organisation - Rubberstamps

This is how I store my wood mounteds.  The plastic cases are just the right thickness.  I can fit 4 months worth of CS Sr, Jr and St in each box.

I can also fit two half sheets per layer if I so decide to put the same theme together.

Unmounteds are stuck onto folders made of transparencies folded in half.  I use Alene Tack-it-over glue.  Some index sheets are photocopied onto transparencies.

Working Arrangements

Had an impromptu chat with the Boss who asked whether I will continue with the part-time arrangement.  I have thought about it and, since Boss brought it up, I just might take it on for another year.  I sure would like to be around when Little One walks, talks, learns her alphabet.  I would like to be around for Big One when schools gets more intense, when teenage woes need a listening ear.  I also secretly look forward to some "me" time when Little One is older and takes longer naps, or goes to childcare and I can have a couple of hours in a stretch.  Of course that would be several years down the road!

I had fun with this.  For one, it's using a sketch, something which is out of my routine.  I'm such a non-conformist that I don't even follow what I sketch, if at all.  But for this layout, I made sure I kept to the details of a sketch, just to get out of my comfort zone.

The other fun aspect is the Dymo lettering on cardstock.  I have wanted to do this for the longest time.  I finally found the old Dymo clickity labeler and, after experimenting with the width of cardstock and the amount of pressure, embossed the words and inked over them.  The next experiment will be to use cardstock with a white core and sand the embossed words.

Lots Done, Lots to Do

The year is tailing off. There is much to be done on the homefront.
Renovations has started in the flat and I'm really excited about doing up the place. We will be moving after Big One's examination, some time mid October.

Big One is enjoying her school holiday, and it's half gone already! Ooops, better clear the holiday assignments by tomorrow so that we can enjoy the weekend.

Little One is waking up once less in the night for her feed. Dada had to whisk her away when she stirs the first time and get her back to sleep again. That will be around midnight. I will relent the next time and feed her, which is around 2 or 3 am. But this morning, she was bright and alert after the feed and crawled around trying to wake us up. I was ignoring her, hoping she'll get bored and get back to sleep. Finally, I don't know who fell asleep first, but we got that precious 2 more hours of sleep. That's GOOOOOD!!!

I think we need to tweak the timing so that I feed her around midnight and she skips the 2-3 am feed. We'll see ....

On the crafting front, I did a major repacking on Friday and Saturday in a near futile attempt to neaten the craft stash. At least I cleared the table top, and removed the supplies from the wobbly carts. They are now in the bulging cupboard or in pizza boxes under the table. Must have dusted off and woken the scrapping genie in doing so, cos I got several pages done between Saturday and yesterday. That's GOOOOOD too!!!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Too Fast Too Soon

My baby will turn one tomorrow.  Yep, Little One is having a birthday party today.  We'll have the family over for a buffet dinner.

This month is full of milestones.  We have been unsuccessful in getting her to sleep through the night.  She insists on feeding every two hours.  When she's upset at bedtime, she'll insist on more frequent comfort feeding.  But this past week, she slept for 3, 4, and last night 5 hours straight.
